Nassau County Federation of Republican Women Receives “Caring for America” Award at NYSFRW State Conference

The Nassau County Federation of Republican Women (NCFRW) is honored to announce that it has received the Caring for America Award at the New York State Federation of Republican Women (NYSFRW) State Conference, held on May 4, 2025.

This distinguished award recognizes the NCFRW’s commitment to civic responsibility and community service, notably through its partnership with Hewlett House, a support center for cancer patients and families. NCFRW members donated critical supplies and visited the center, offering support and solidarity to those affected. The effort was made even more meaningful with the involvement of longtime NCFRW member and Hewlett House founder Geri Barish.

“This award is a testament to what can be achieved when women lead with compassion and action,” said NCFRW President Nancy Widman. “We’re proud to serve our community and uplift organizations like Hewlett House that offer vital care during difficult times.”

The Caring for America initiative, developed by the National Federation of Republican Women (NFRW), highlights local clubs making tangible differences in their communities. NCFRW’s dedication to hands-on service embodies the spirit of this national program.

The Nassau County Federation of Republican Women was awarded the 2025 Caring for America Award by the New York State Federation of Republican Women for their charitable work with Hewlett House.
